The renowned A Christmas Story home‘s owner made it quite clear in a video of a foul-mouthed rant that Yano Anaya is no longer welcome there.

On November 15, Yano, who portrayed Grover Dill in the 1983 film, posed for photographs with fans on the porch of a house outside Cleveland.

The owner, Brian Jones, suddenly appears and yells at him to leave his property and never return.

Who is Yano Anaya?

Born on May 12, 1972, Yano Anaya is an American actor from Miami, Florida. He grew up in Panorama City in the San Fernando Valley. Anaya studied at Monroe High School in California and graduated in 1990. 

Anaya is also a body transformation expert and an exercise science educator. He oversees the Atlanta School of Massage’s personal trainer programme.

Anaya is best known for his portrayal of Grover Dill in A Christmas Story (1983). In 2022, Anaya was yelled at by the owner of the house featured in the movie A Christmas Story for clicking pictures with fans outside the home. The film was released on November 18, 1983, and received positive reviews from critics. It was partly shot in Canada and won two Canadian Genie Awards in 1984.

The Library of Congress chose it for preservation in the United States National Film Registry in 2012 because it is “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.”

He played one of the paperboys in the 1985 film Better Off Dead and provided all of the voice-over dialogue for the lead paperboy. He also appeared in the indie film The Blue Iguana with Dylan McDermott and Dean Stockwell (1988). Yano appeared as a young Michael Anthony Jr. in Van Halen’s iconic video Van Halen: Hot for Teacher (1984).

Anaya married Selena Anduza on June 26, 2009.  Anduza is also an American actor. She won the title of “Miss U.S. Virgin Islands” at the World Modeling Association (WMA) talent awards in New York City at the age of 9, making her the youngest performer to do so.
