Father’s Day was on June 19, and ‘New Girl’ actor Zooey Deschanel celebrated it with a picture of her children, her boyfriend, as well as her ex-husband.
The 42-year-old’s ex-husband Jacob Pechenik is seen holding 5-year-old Charlie Wolf, while boyfriend Jonathan Scott holds 6-year-old Elsie Otter, on his shoulders, with their faces turned towards the camera.
Deschanel put emoticons on the children’s faces to hide their privacy. “So thankful my kids have these two awesome guys in their lives: @jonathanscott and their dad @jacobpechenik”, she wrote alongside the photograph.

Scott commented, “One big happy family”, while Pechenik added, “It’s my absolute greatest privilege”.
Pechenik and Deschanel were married for four years, before the couple announced in September 2019 that they were splitting up. Their divorce was finalized in 2020.

Meanwhile, the actor’s relationship with Scott was confirmed publicly late in 2019. Deschanel reportedly met the ‘Property Brothers’ star while filming the AppleTV+ series, ‘Carpool Karaoke’, that very year.
The couple recently renovated their 1938 Georgian home in Los Angeles.
Deschanel, on June 2, posted a collaborative video, along with ‘Carpool Karaoke’ teasing a reunion episode featuring herself and Scott.
“Three years after meeting and falling in love on our show, @zooeydeschanel and @jonathanscott return to #CarpoolKaraoke to make some new memories!”, she captioned the video.

Deschanel, who has popular films like ‘500 Days of Summer’ to her name, is next slated to appear in ‘Harold and the Purple Crayon’. The story focuses on a boy who goes on a magical mission with the help of his purple crayon and is slated to be released in 2023.
She has another project in the pipeline, titled ‘Dreamin’ Wild’, which focuses on a musical duo who decide to spend all that they have in an endeavour to produce a record, in the 1970s.
