A local food joint in
Rohini, Delhi, has recently gone viral after the news of the eatery’s Rs.10
thali.

An Instagram video of
Sita ji ki Rasoi, an eatery in Delhi’s Rohini, began trending on the internet
after a food blogger who goes by the name of ‘The Foodie Hat’ on Instagram
posted the snippet on his handle.

 The affordable
thali includes rice, lentils and chapatis. Lunch is served at the food joint
between 12 pm and 2 pm. Despite the cheap food, the eatery also offers free
meals to those who can’t afford to pay. During the lunch hours, unlimited food
is served for Rs.10, or for free if the customer is unable to pay.

The
video shows a Rs.10 note, and what all it can get you at the eatery. A woman is seen serving and
pouring lentils on rice. A group of people are seen sitting together and
enjoying the affordable and nutritious meal.

The video has racked
up over 4 million likes and 3 million views. Abhishek, who runs the food
blogging account on Instagram, captioned the video, “Sita ji ki Rasoi by Granth
Foundation. They provide unlimited lunch at Rs.10 or free if you are not able to
pay. You can join the foundation if you also want to help and serve.”

 Many internet
users have lauded the initiative. One user wrote, “I went there and tried,
surprisingly the food given was more than expected. The thali was full of food
with roti, rice and dal. Though the taste is decent, for a hungry stomach it’s
no less than a blessing. It’s a very nice initiative.” Another user added,
“I love how it wasn’t free of cost so that people won’t feel guilty or bad
about themselves”.

Many
users have asked about the location and are looking forward to paying a visit
to the eatery.
