Bed bugs have been found in at least seven Las Vegas hotels in the last two years, Las Vegas TV station KLAS revealed, citing records from the Southern Nevada Health District.

Circus Circus is one of the hotels in which the bugs were reportedly found. A guest was reportedly bitten in January 2022 following which the room was inspected and bed bugs were found. A thorough treatment was done for two weeks during which the room and the nearby rooms were out of service. However, six months later, health officials received another bed bug complaint for another room.

The same month, bed bugs were found in a room at Planet Hollywood. In January this year, a visitor was bitten by bed bugs at Caesars Palace.

MGM International Resorts issued a statement saying, “We have comprehensive procedures in place to address and resolve any issue that may arise.”

In a statement, Tropicana Las Vegas said it conducts “comprehensive preventative maintenance programs.”

“While highly unlikely, in the event of a complaint, we immediately isolate the affected room and its surrounding areas. At that point, a third-party service will evaluate the situation and provide a recommendation on appropriate next steps, including professional treatment should anything be found,” Arik Knowles, vice president and general manager, at The Tropicana, told Casino.org.
