Delhi on Sunday recorded 4,033 new COVID-19 cases and 21 deaths in the last 24 hours, the highest daily count this year, news agency PTI reported quoting the state health department.
The national capital has reported a total of 6,76,414 cases of novel coronavirus since the outbreak whereas the death toll due to the disease has reached 11,081.

According to the health department’s data, 6,51,351 people have recovered from the deadly virus while 13,982 COVID-19 cases are currently active in the union territory.
Delhi on Saturday recorded over 3,500 coronavirus cases for the second consecutive day, while the positivity rate rose to 4.48%.
On February 26, the month’s highest daily count of 256 cases was recorded. However, the daily cases began to rise again in March and have been steadily increasing since then.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra, India’s financial capital, recorded the highest single-day rise of 57,074 coronavirus positive cases while 222 patients succumbed to the infection, the state government said.
