Pakistan, in a major boost to its vaccination campaign, launched its homegrown COVID-19 vaccine ‘PakVac’ on Tuesday. According to media reports, it comes a week after successfully developing it with the help of China’s CanSino Bio.

Reportedly, PakVac is the localised version of
China’s CanSino vaccine. The vaccine will be filled and packaged in Pakistan
and sold under the brand name PakVac.

As soon as the news hit the internet, users took to social media to express their emotions about a new COVID vaccine in the market. One Twitter user wrote, “sounds more like quack quack”.

Another Twitter user wrote, ‘Vaccine was sent by China.. Pakistan only made labels saying “PakVac”. This is the best they can do.’
