BJP leader and Haryana health minister Anil Vij, who tested positive for COVID-19 a few weeks after volunteering in Covaxin trials in Haryana, received wishes
of speedy recovery from the Delhi health minister Satyendar Jain on Saturday.

Jain believed the government will take cognizance of “doubts
raised about the efficacy of the vaccine and that it will be completely safe
and effective”.

“I wish that Anil Vij
ji recovers from coronavirus soon. A few days ago, he had volunteered to take a
dose of a vaccine during its phase-three trial,” Jain tweeted.

Vij tweeted that he tested positive for coronavirus and has been admitted to Civil hospital Ambala Cantt.

Vij also advised everyone
who met or came close to him should get their COVID-19 tests done.

Covaxin is an indigenously
developed COVID-19 vaccine by Bharat Biotech in alliance with the Indian
Council of Medical research (ICMR).
