Audi’s e-tron is an all-electric midsize luxury crossover that was first shown as a concept vehicle at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. It was initially delivered in May 2019 and is the company’s first electric mass-production automobile. It has an EPA range of 204 miles (328 kilometres) in the base model, and 222 miles (357 kilometres) in the upgraded model.
In early 2020, a Sportback model with a range of 218 miles (351 km) was introduced.
The Audi e-tron is based on the e-tron Quattro concept, which debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2015. On September 17, 2018,[7] the final production version was unveiled in San Francisco, and it made its public appearance at the 2018 Paris Motor Show.
The KBA (Germany’s Federal Motor Transport Authority) did not provide the car’s certification until the essential software adjustments were performed.
In January 2019, it was announced that supplies to the US market will begin in June.
