According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) calendar, banks in India will remain closed for 11 days in March. Besides four Sundays and two Saturdays, they will be closed on March 5, March 11, March 22, March 29 and March 30. Still, these holidays will not be observed by all states and can differ according to a particular state or region.

In March, bank services are likely to be affected as many bank unions will hold a strike on March 15 and 16 against the Centre’s privatisation plan. Account-holders are advised to plan their transactions accordingly.
