Farmers are holding a widespread protest for a third consecutive day on Saturday. Farmers from a number of states are agitating against the three farm laws, enacted in the Monsoon Session of Parliament.
They had started a ‘Delhi Chalo’ March, because of which security was tightened at the city’s border. However, following an announcement by the Delhi Police Commissioner, the agitating farmers were allowed to enter the national capital. Commenting on the issue, Amit Shah said that the government is ready to deliberate on the problem once they move to the designated place and continue their protest. Replying to Shah’s appeal, Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh urged the farmers to listen to Shah’s appeal and move to the place where Delhi Police will take them.
