Rahul Gandhi tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday. Announcing this on Twitter, the 50-year-old leader said that he was ‘experiencing mild symptoms’. This comes a day after former prime minister and Congress leader, Manmohan Singh, tested positive for the virus. Gandhi had called off his West Bengal poll campaign on Monday citing the prevailing pandemic situation.

“After experiencing mild symptoms, I’ve just tested positive for COVID. All those who’ve been in contact with me recently, please follow all safety protocols and stay safe,” Gandhi wrote on Twitter.
