Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) increased marginally on Monday, November 8, 2021. Gold futures were trading at Rs 47985.00 per 10 gm, up 13 points or 0.03%, in the Indian market. In global markets, gold was priced at $1,816.99 per oz.

Platinum was up 0.63% to $1,044.00 while palladium gained 0.61% to $2,050.50. Silver futures were trading at Rs 64599.00 per kg, up 267 points or 0.42% while the spot silver rate today is Rs 64,800 per Kg. The spot gold was priced at Rs 48107 per 10 gram on MCX.

Gold has struggled this year after hitting a record high of Rs 56,200 in 2020 as the dollar strengthened on hopes of a swift economic recovery as Covid vaccination picked up the pace.

Global equity markets also retreated today as investors grew increasingly concerned about a growing energy crisis and spiking inflation. Separately, Brent crude, the international oil standard, increased 1.04% to USD 83.59 per barrel. In early trade, the rupee climbs 23 paise to 74.23 against the US dollar.

Copper futures were trading at Rs 734.30 up 0.33% while Nickel and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 1484.80 and Rs 204.80 per Kg respectively on MCX.
