In the past 24 hours, India has reported 1,549 new cases of COVID, including 31 deaths.

The number of coronavirus infections in India increased by 1,549 in a single day, bringing the total number of infections to 4,30,09,390, while active cases fell to 25,106, according to Union health ministry on Monday.

The COVID-19 death toll has risen to 5,16,510, with 31 daily fatalities, according to ministry figures updated at 8 am.

According to the Health Ministry, active cases account for 0.06 % of overall infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate is 98.74 %.

In the last 24 hours, the active COVID-19 caseload has been reduced by 1,134 cases.

According to the health ministry, the daily positivity rate was 0.40% and the weekly positivity rate was 0.40%.

In the previous 24 hours, a total of 3,84,499 COVID-19 tests were performed. India has conducted about 78.30 crore total tests so far.

The number of patients who have recovered from the virus has risen to 4,24,67,774, with a case fatality rate of 1.20%. The total number of doses provided in the country as part of the statewide COVID-19 immunisation effort has surpassed 181.24 crores. On August 7, 2020, India’s COVID-19 tally surpassed 20 lakh, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5, and 50 lakh on September 16. It reached 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11, 80 lakh on October 29, 90 lakh on November 20, and one crore on December 19. On May 4th, India passed the terrible milestone of 2 crore instances, and on June 23rd, it passed the dreadful milestone of 3 crore cases.
