Having arguably mastered the art of fast bowling, Indian fast bowler
Jasprit Bumrah seemingly decided to test his wrists a bit, as he is seen imitating
the bowling action of former Indian leg spinner Anil Kumble.

In a video posted on Twitter by BCCI, Bumrah is seen being in the net,
taking a run-up and releasing the ball in a way resembling that of Kumble. The
video contrasts the act with Test match scenarios of Kumble’s bowling.

“We have all seen @Jaspritbumrah93’s fiery yorkers and sharp bouncers.
Here’s presenting a never-seen-before version of the fast bowler. Boom tries to
emulate the legendary @anilkumble1074’s bowling action and pretty much nails
it,” BCCI captioned the video.

The video featuring the right-arm pacer, known for his swing and
sudden variations of speed, seems to have caught the eyes of none other than
Kumble himself, who decided to share his thoughts on the matter.

“Well done Boom. Pretty close. You are an inspiration to the next
generation of young fast bowlers who are imitating your style. Best wishes for
the upcoming series,” tweeted the former leggie.

Kumble retired from international cricket in 2008, with 619 wickets to
his name in Test, the longest and most arduous format of the game, the third
highest in the format after Muttiah Muralidharan (800) and Shane Warne (708).
