Answer: Dwayne Bravo

Trinidadian right-arm medium-fast bowler Dwayne Bravo took 32 wickets in the 2013 edition of the Indian Premier League, making him the highest wicket-taker in a single season ever since the inception of the IPL.

The 37-year-old may not have the same pace eight years on but no other bowler has since been able to break his record.

Delhi Capitals bowler Kagiso Rabada comes in second after Bravo with 30 wickets to his name in the 2020 season of the Indian Premier League across 17 games he played.

Lasith Malinga is third with 28 wickets in 16 games from the 2011 edition for the Mumbai Indians.

James Faulkner was in great form like Dwayne Bravo in 2013 as well.

Faulkner bagged 28 wickets in that season for the Rajasthan Royals, making him the fourth-best all time figure in the history of the Indian Premier League. However, he fell short of breaking Bravo’s record.

Fifth position goes to Jasprit Bumrah who found his best rhythm in the IPL last year in the United Arab Emirates, where he ended up with 27 wickets in the season.

The Indian Premier League’s UAE leg is nearing its end with the playoffs set to begin from October 10 next week and the Final is scheduled for October 15.
