Saturday has been a nightmare for not only the Indian cricket team, but also for the fans back home. Getting bundled out for just 36 runs is something that no team wants, especially a team like India, which boasts of a good record in Test cricket as well as batsmen like Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane.

Australian bowlers were wrecking havoc right from the beginning. While it was Mitchell Starc in the first innings, Josh Hazlewood took charge in the second innings, along with fellow pacer Pat Cummins.

Cummins started the trend by taking out Jasprit Bumrah and Pujara. Then came Hazlewood, to send back Mayank Agarwal and Rahane.

But he did not stop just there. He then picked up the wickets of Wrddhiman Saha and Ravichandran Ashwin in the same over to become the 18th Australian bowler to reach 200 Test scalps.

He then went on to send back Hanuma Vihari in the very next over. At the end, he and Cummins shared nine wickets among themselves from the innings.

According to PTI, during the post-match conference, Hazlewood said, “Getting bowled out for 36 is going to leave a few headaches here and there and their best batter (Virat) is leaving as well, it is going to leave a bit of whole.”

He added, “…But they have got plenty of class batters on the side-lines to come in, not of Virat’s class. But in terms of the series, it is great to be one up, it is better than being one-down, as we found out last time.”
