Manto, based on writer Saadat Hasan Manto’s life during partition and in post-Independence India, is directed by Nandita Das. Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays Manto.
The film also stars Tahir Raj Bhasin and Rasika Dugal. The film premiered at Cannes in 2018 and competed in the %u201CUn Certain Regard%u201D section of the film festival.
