Taking a swipe at the Narendra Modi government, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday said that there is no hope for job creation and a safe future for youth anytime soon.

Tagging a report quoting Unilever chief Alan Jope, Gandhi tweeted, “One of India’s biggest employers is in ‘wait and see’ mode since COVID cases are rising.”

“No hope of job creation and a safe future for youth anytime soon. Yet another outcome of Modi Governments sudden and unplanned lockdown which has snowballed India’s already-precarious economy,” Gandhi added.

He also said that the “well-planned fight of Modi government” against coronavirus has led to a decline in India’s gross domestic product, loss of employment, stressed loans and globally daily highest cases and deaths.

“But for Government of India and media ‘sab changa si’ (everything is good),” he added.
