The Bombay High Court adjourned the hearing in the bail plea of actor Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik, which will next be heard on Tuesday, news agency ANI reported. The actor has been arrested in a drugs case related to actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. In her bail plea, filed on Tuesday, she claimed that she had been subjected to a ‘witch-hunt’.

Justice SV Kotwal, while adjourning the hearing, said, “There are various issues in this case. You will have to address the court on points of law one by one.”

A sessions court which had earlier rejected her plea, had stated that the actor may tamper with evidence and try to alert those she has named during her questioning.

The actor in her latest bail plea has alleged that the NCB is on a witch-hunt at the instance of three central agencies without any evidence. She also alleged that Sushant was the “only” consumer of drugs.

A total of 19 people have been arrested by the NCB so far, including Chakraborty and her brother Showik, Sushant Singh Rajput’s house manager Samuel Miranda, domestic help Dipesh Sawant, alleged drug peddlers Zaid Vilatra and Abdel Basit Parihar; Kaizan Ebrahim, Karan Arora, Abbas Lakhani and Anuj Keshwani.

In recent developments, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Wednesday summoned actors Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh in relation to the case.
