A day before his birthday, superstar Salman Khan got bitten by a non-venomous snake at his Panvel farmhouse on Sunday, December 26.

The snake reportedly bit his hand at around 3 am, after which the actor was taken immediately to a hospital in Kamothe in Navi Mumbai. He was discharged by 9 am in the morning after receiving the required treatment, which included an anti-venom medicine, sources close to the actor have said.

The snake was non-poisonous, reported ABP News.

The Bollywood star, who will be celebrating his 56th birthday on December 27, is recovering well at his farmhouse, where he usually spends the occasion.

The Bigg Boss host has a line-up of movies for 2022, including cameos for Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan and Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, Tiger 3 with Katrina Kaif, Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali with Pooja Hegde, and Kick 2 with Jacqueline Fernandez.

Just a week ago, the actor also announced a sequel to his hit movie ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, which is set to be written by S S Rajamouli’s father, K. V. Vijayendra Prasad, who also wrote the first one. The film had collected over Rs. 300 crore at the box office in India and is still among the top 5 highest-grossers of Bollywood.

In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Prasad had earlier revealed that he was trying to crack a story for a sequel, “I am trying to crack Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2. Sometime back, I told Salman the idea and he is also excited. But I am looking for a proper vehicle to carry it forward. I hope it materialises.”

Khan was last seen in the film ‘Antim: The Final Truth’ last month along with Aayush Sharma and Mahima Makwana. The film was an adaptation of the Marathi film Mulshi Pattern.
