The Tamil Nadu directorate of government education is scheduled to release class 12 results on Monday, July 19 at 11am. 

How to check your result?

The results will be available on: tnresults.nic.in, taminadustateboard.org., dge1.tn.nic.in, dge2.tn.nic.in, dge.tn.gov.in. 

Students will be able to check their result by entering their roll number. Nearly 8 lakh state board students in Tamil Nadu are awaiting their Class 12 results. 

How will marks be calculated?

The class 12 results will be based on a 50:20:30 formula taking marks scored in internals in class 10, 11 and 12. 50% will be drawn from marks scored in class 10. 

Class 11 marks will carry 20% weightage while marks scored in class 12 internals will carry 30% weightage.  

The Tamil Nadu government had announced the cancellation of class 12 state board examinations on account of the COVID-19 pandemic. A committee was formed who came up with the aforementioned alternative marking system. 

What if students are unhappy with their results? 

The Tamil Nadu government has said that students who are not satisfied with their results may take the board exams which will be conducted when the situation is conducive for the same.

College admissions

The Tamil Nadu directorate of government examinations said that class 12 results would be declared today and asked all colleges to commence undergraduate admissions for 2021%u201322 on August 1 after the declaration of CBSE class 12 results
