England pacer Chris Jordan came up with a brilliant fielding effort at the long-on boundary to end a marauding Suryakumar Yadav innings during the fifth and final T20I against India on Saturday.

Yadav, having scored 34 from 16 deliveries, looked set to add six runs to his tally after coming down the track and heaving an Adil Rashid delivery towards the long-on boundary.

However, Jordan came sprinting in, caught the ball and lobbed it over to Jason Roy just before crossing over the boundary line.

The effort was widely praised on social media, with former Indian batsman VVS Laxman saying, “This catch from Jordan has to be one of the best catches we will see for long time. Excellent awareness and presence of mind.”

India scored an imposing 224 for the loss of two as both sides for an emphatic series win ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup later this year. Opener Rohit Sharma scored a scintillating 34-ball 64 before skipper Virat Kohli joined the party with an unbeaten 52-ball 80.
