CEO and founder of Zoho corporation, Sridhar Vembu, attended an interesting guest at his residence in Mathalamparai and he wanted to share the news with all of us. If you have not already come across Vembu’s tweet that has gone crazy viral on social media, the guest under question is a ‘King Cobra’. Yes! Right, a king cobra.

Business magnate Sridhar Vembu on Tuesday shared a picture of- wait for it- a legendary 12 foot-king cobra that was found near his residence on Twitter. Soon after the release, the post went viral on social media because, well we all know how such reptile encounters intrigues tweeple. If you have missed it by any chance, here’s the post feat. Calling his encounter an auspicious day, Vembu also informed users that he touched the snake. Quite brave of him, isn’t it?

“A rare 12 feet long king cobra paid us a visit. Our awesome local forest rangers arrived and caught it for release in the nearby hills. Here is the brave me attempting to touch it. A very auspicious day.” read the caption.

Since being shared, the post has received around 9.6 k likes and over 250 comments.

If you are wondering how Vembu managed to catch the sight of a king cobra. Here’s how. 

Late in 2019, before the COVID-19 outbreak, Vembu had moved to Mathalamparai, a village near Tenkasi in the picturesque Western Ghats in southern Tamil Nadu, where species like king cobra are easy to find.

However, Twitter as usual was stunned by the snake and reacted to Vembu’s post. While some were amazed by the size of the giant reptile others talked about it being scary and one lady was very said she would have been close to getting a panic attack if she would have caught the snake. Another Twitter user suggested Vembu a business idea out of the incident, here’s what he said.

Meanwhile, another Twitter user called out Vembu and forest officials for not handling the reptile well.

“Unprofessional way of handling the snake. There was no reason to hold the snake like that for photo ops. Their vertebrae are delicate and can easily get damaged,” he wrote.
