1. Kodi Beach 

With the Suvarna river draining into the Arabian sea forming a delta, Kodi Beach is also known as the Delta Beach or as the “sangama” point. It has a small port for fisheries and is famous for the toddy drink and freshly prepared seafood. Tourists can take a boat ride into the nearby mangroves and enjoy a stunning sunset. The beach is not suitable for swimming as it happens to have sinking sand. 

2. Kudle Beach

Kudle Beach is one of the many beaches of Gokarna. The silent and serene beach offers an ambience to enjoy the sunset, a walk along the shore or simply sitting and observing the tides. The beach is not invaded by large groups of tourists and is very less crowded. Locals visit the beach for morning, and evening walks, or for practicing yoga. The beach offers a chance to camp at night in bamboo huts and beach shacks.

3. Hoodie Beach

The beach is secludedly located in Kodi Bengare village in Udupi. The coconut trees form the perfect backdrop allowing an ambience to enjoy the gentle sea waves. Clearwater and pristine white sand allow one to catch the setting sun and its hues at the dusk. Tulunadu cuisine and toddy can be enjoyed while taking a stroll on the beach. The beach also has a surfing club. It is one of the best beaches for surfing.

4. Devbagh Beach

The beach is a nature lover’s paradise. The beach is the spot where the Kali river meets the Arabian sea. The untouched beauty of the beach is sandwiched between the magnificent Western Ghats and the Arabian Sea. The sea is visited by white seagulls flying across the backdrop of the coral sky. Jet skiing, parasailing, parachute riding, banana riding, and speed boating are among the thrilling adventure sports at the beach.

5. Mattu Beach

The beach is situated 12km away from Udupi city. The shades of the coconut trees can be enjoyed by witnessing sunrise and sunsets. The beach also enjoys bioluminescence at night due to the local species of algae which turns blue at night. The “mattu gulla” eggplant is a unique recipe to try here.
