Hair is an integral part of our appearance. It can make or break our look. Reminiscing the famous speech by Phoebe Waller-Bridge in the show ‘Fleabag’ where she says “Hair is everything. We wish it wasn’t, so we could actually think about something else occasionally, but it is. It’s the difference between a good day and a bad day”.

As hilariously as Fleabag puts it, every word in the sentence rings true and we know it. However, we all unanimously have issues with our hair.

Despite being so important, we just don’t take care of it enough. Our hairs are also very sensitive because they go through a lot. To make them look better, we straighten them, curl them, blow dry them, colour them, and whatnot.

In this process, the quality of our hair gets jeopardised. As a result, it becomes dehydrated and looks rough. But, don’t worry, it is not irreversible. With proper care, you can go back to your natural shine without having to abandon your hairstyles.

Use Heat Protectors: If you want to straighten and curl your hair, go ahead and do it by all means but remember that these styling methods damage your hair a lot. Instead of abandoning your hairstyling tools altogether, you can heat easily available protectors that will form a layer and protect your hair from direct heat.

Avoid using sprays: Instant colours, dry shampoo, or hair setting sprays can dehydrate your hair and make them look dry. They also have long-term damaging effects on your hair. Instead, deal with your hair more patiently than using instant solutions.

Choose the right shampoo and conditioner: Finding the right shampoo and hair conditioner for your hair is more difficult than finding a soulmate. Different hair types need different nutrients from their hair supplements. Research well around your hair type and only use the shampoo on your scalp and not the strand. Instead, use the conditioner for your hair and especially the tip of your hair for better results.

Keep changing your hairstyles: Keeping the same hairstyle over a very long time can have damaging effects on hair roots or the hairline. It is always advisable to keep changing your hairstyles, tight ponytails are also advised against because they make the hair roots weaker.

Use additional supplements: If you are trying different styles on your hair, you also need to give it the right protein. Besides oiling your hair, you should also add hyaluronic acid and fatty alcohols to your hair’s diet chart. This will refrain your hair from drying up.

So, now that you have the solution to your dehydration and dull hair problem, you can go ahead and do-it-all. You don’t hair to choose between styling and caring anymore.
