Roshan Singh, a Bathinda businessman, awoke to the unbelievable
news of winning Rs 2.5 crore in the Punjab State Dear Baisakhi Bumper Lottery
2022.

The man who believes he has made the biggest catch of his life,
runs a small clothes shop in a village in Punjab’s Bathinda district. He
told reporters that he has been in the business since 1987.

He opened his own shop after 18 years of working as an employee in
a clothing store. However, he was unable to set aside a sum that he could spend
as he wished to. Ultimately, he secured a job as a land surveyor and managed to
acquire the extra cash he needed for his lottery plans.

For at least 34 years, the  man has been purchasing lottery
tickets since 1988. And he did manage to win Rs 100-200 with some luck. He also
mused about recovering all of the money he had spent on  lottery tickets
over the years.

His wife, on the other hand, was sceptical of the practice of
buying  lottery tickets. She tried to keep her husband from incurring
losses. And she was successful on various occasions.

Roshan was contacted by a lottery ticket seller who informed him
that he had won Rs 2.5 crore in the Punjab State Baisakhi Bumper Lottery. But
the man dismissed it as a prank call by one of his pals. Roshan realised
it was serious  after the agent stated that he was calling from the
Rampura Phul Lottery Centre.

Roshan aims to use the prize money to provide a  future
for his three children, as well as to start a new business.
