Business tycoon Anand Mahindra is an active social media user and often shares interesting and informative posts on his Twitter account. This time Mahindra has shared an appreciation post for Delhi’s famous Matka Man.

Alag Natarajan aka ‘Matka Man’ of Delhi is on a mission to provide drinking water to the city’s millions of residents. He lives in Delhi’s Panchsheel Park area and drives around in his SUV every day, filling clay pots across South Delhi with clean drinking water.

Anand Mahindra also shared a video of Matka Man and his Bolero. Watch the video below:

It started as one earthen pot of water outside his house and now it has transformed into a mission to place matkas (earthen pot) across South Delhi. The initiative has earned Natarajan the nickname of ‘Matka Man’. Natarajan today wakes up at five every morning to fill around 70 to 80 pots of water from which people can drink free of charge.

“A matka is an Indian clay pot traditionally used to store and keep water cold,” he explains on his website. “I am using matkas to provide drinking water to poor people.”
