Eno Benjamin, running back for the Arizona Cardinals, made a 45-yard run in the first quarter of the Thursday Night Football game against the New Orleans Saints at the University of Phoenix Stadium.

Two minutes after Antonio Hamilton picked Saints QB Andy Dalton’s throw to Marquez Callaway in the end zone, Eno Benjamin broke loose down the left sideline for a huge pickup of 45 yards. The 23-year-old was dragged down inside the Saints’ 20-yard line. Arizona were set up inside the red zone.

New Orleans led 7-6 with 10 minutes to go in the second quarter.
Early in the game, Andy Dalton found wide receiver Rashid Shaheed for a touchdown. The 24-year-old became the first player in the history of the New Orleans Saints to score a touchdown on his first two career touches.
His first was a
44-yard rushing touchdown against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Both Cardinals and Saints have the benefit of playing in struggling divisions: The NFC West (Arizona) and NFC South (New Orleans) don’t have a team that’s better than 3-3.

That means despite their poor play, the Cardinals and Saints aren’t in terrible playoff position, sitting just one game back in the division race. But that silver lining won’t exist much longer, particularly if the losses keep coming.
“You’ve just got to stay the course. It’s a long season. It’s early. But we don’t want this thing to get away from us either. So, it’s been, ’Let’s just do our job, be where you’re supposed to be and when your chance is to make a play, make a play. We’ve got good enough players and coaching staff and everything to get this thing right. Just stay the course and nobody panic,” Saints co-defensive coordinator Ryan Nielsen said ahead of the game.
