Tyler Bass’ field goal experienced an incredible twist of destiny when it struck the upright but still managed to bounce past, forcing the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets into overtime on Monday.

Tyler Bass is a well-known placekicker for the American football team Buffalo Bills in the NFL. He used to play football at Georgia Southern before the Bills selected him in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

He hails from Columbia, South Carolina, and excelled in his field at Dutch Fork High School. He was a four-star prospect who was regarded as the nation’s 14th-best kicker by 247Sports. Bass decided to play collegiate football at Georgia Southern despite receiving alluring offers from prestigious schools like Clemson, South Carolina, and Wake Forest.

Bass, who was chosen by the Bills in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, had a significant impact right away by being given a berth on the roster as a rookie. He has since taken over as the Bills’ primary kicker. Amazingly, he has a success record of 88.2% in field goal tries, making 77 of 89 of them, and an almost perfect 99.2% in extra point attempts, making 133 of 134.

Bass was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for October 2021 thanks to his outstanding performance. He made all 10 field goal tries and all extra point attempts throughout that month with perfect accuracy. Bass maintained his perfect record in the 2021 campaign, making all 51 extra point tries and 28 of 32 field goal attempts.
