Rookie wide receiver Garrett Wilson of the New York Jets made a notable performance by receiving a touchdown catch in the game against the Buffalo Bills on Monday, September 11, 2023.

During the third quarter of the game, quarterback Zach Wilson threw a throw that was caught for an astounding several yards.

Garrett Wilson is an American football wide receiver currently playing for the New York Jets in the National Football League (NFL). He developed his football abilities at Ohio State before the Jets selected him with the 10th overall choice in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Wilson finished high school at Lake Travis High School in Austin, Texas. According to 247Sports, he was a four-star prospect who was the second-best wide receiver in the country. He ultimately decided to play collegiate football at Ohio State, rejecting offers from prestigious universities like Alabama, Clemson, and Georgia in favor of the Buckeyes.

Wilson made a name for himself at Ohio State by giving a strong performance. In 2020, he had 72 receptions for 1,058 yards and 12 touchdowns during his first season. In 2021, he continued his great play with 75 receptions for 1,055 yards and 10 touchdowns. He is known for his adept route running, agility, and trusty hands, and is expected to play a crucial part for the Jets. He excels at blocking, which is a critical skill for a wide receiver in their first season.

Wilson’s outstanding accomplishments earned him the title of Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year and consensus All-American in 2021.

He was selected by the Jets with the 10th overall choice in the 2022 NFL Draft. In Week 1’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, Wilson made his NFL debut, recording five receptions for 34 yards.
