Referee Brad Rogers and his team were trolled on social media for a catch call during the Green Bay Packers vs Detroit Lions Sunday Night Football game at the Lambeau Field.

In the final minutes of the first quarter, Lions quarterback Jared Goff fired one over the middle to wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, who took a brilliant diving catch to pick first down. However, Green Bay coach Matt LaFleur challenged the call.

The challenge paid off and the call was overturned. The catch was ruled incomplete. Replay showed that St. Brown trapped the ball against the ground as he fell.

“A catch is whatever the ref wants it to be tbh,” a Twitter user said.

“That was a COMPLETED Catch!!! These refs on a whole level of BULLSHIT already!!” a second one tweeted.

“First the refs throw the Rams game by missing FOUR CALLS, then they call that catch incomplete. Jesus the NFL hates the Lions,” a third one said on Twitter.

The referees were also trolled for alleged biased calls in favour of Aaron Rodgers and co as the two sides faced off each other at Lambeau Stadium on Sunday.

“Did you all think we were actually going to give the @Lions anything?” a Twitter user said.

“NFL refs have become worse than NBA refs! I never thought that was possible,” a third one added.
