CeeDee Lamb, after a string of dropped catches, made a one-handed stunner for a touchdown. The Dallas Cowboys took a late 20-13 lead against the New York Giants on Monday at the MetLife Stadium. This was the first touchdown of the 2022 NFL Season for Lamb.

The 1-yard reception play happened in the fourth quarter with an opportunity for 1st and goal when Cowboys’ quarterback Cooper Russ threw the ball over approaching Giants defenders to Lamb, who was being guarded by cornerback Adoree’ Jackson to take the difficult catch.

Earlier on in the game, Lamb dropped a 45-yard catch that led to his trolling on social media. He is a high draft pick in this year’s fantasy football league and is expected to perform well now that Amari Cooper has left the team for Cleveland Browns

“How all of us feel about the CeeDee Lamb drop. Trying to stay happy while crying inside,” a user tweeted.

Over the past two seasons, he has played in all of Cowboys league matches and has 11 receiving touchdowns under his belt. In two years, he has recorded a combined total of 2037 receiving yards in 153 passes.

CeeDee Lamb was drafted 17th overall in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft and then signed a 4-year, $14.01 million contract with the team, with a $7.7 million signing bonus and a fifth-year team option. He played college football at the University of Oklahoma’s Sooners Football Team. 

In Week 1 of the current season, facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Lam caught only two of 11 passes thrown in his direction for 29 yards as the team lost 3-19 at home. In the second game, he played a much better game. Even though he could score a TD, he had 7 catches for 75 yards in the game.
