Chris Streveler stepped in for New York Jets starting quarterback Zach Wilson in the the third quarter against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday. The two sides locked horns at the MetLife Stadium in the Week 16 encounter of NFL 2022 season.

Though he completed ten of the 15 passes for 90 yards and rushed nine times for 54 yards, it failed to lift up Robert Saleh‘s men as they succumbed to a 3-19 defeat at home. The defeat was the Jets’ sixth loss in the previous eight games.

The defeat ended the Jets’ hopes of a playoff berth in the 2002 NFL season while the Jaguars upped their credentials for a playoff berth, potentially even a chance to end as AFC South toppers. The Jets take on the Seattle Seahawks and the Miami Dolphins respectively in their last two encounters of the event.

After going undrafted in the 2018 NFL draft, Treveler was picked up by Canadian football league’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He later represented the Arizona Cardinals in 2020 before breifly playing for the Baltimore Ravens in late 2021 and the Miami Dolphins in early 2022. He currently plays for the New York Jets in the NFL.
