Harald Hasselbach, a crucial player on the Denver Broncos teams that won back-to-back Super Bowls in the late 1990s, died at the age of 56.
After a six-month fight with cancer, Hasselbach finally lost his fight, according to the Broncos’ official confirmation of his death.
Broncos in a tweet wrote, “We are deeply saddened by the passing of Harald Hasselbach (1994-00), a DE on our back-to-back Super Bowl teams who courageously fought a recent cancer diagnosis. Our hearts go out to Harold’s wife, Aundrea, his four children & many loved ones.”

Cause of death-
As per media reports, Hasselback was battling with cancer for six-month and it eventually became the cause of his death.

Former American football defensive end Harold Hasselbach had a tremendous career with the Denver Broncos, playing seven seasons in the National Football League (NFL) between 1994 and 2000. He played four seasons in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with the Calgary Stampeders from 1990 to 1993 before joining the NFL. Hasselbach was raised in a multicultural environment, having resided in Canada, Kenya, Indonesia, Suriname, and other nations.
Hasselbach was selected in the fifth round of the 1989 CFL Draft by the Calgary Stampeders, where he had 163 tackles, 22 sacks, and five forced fumbles in 59 games as a member of the organization. He was a member of the Stampeders’ winning Grey Cup squad in 1990.
Hasselbach made the move to the NFL in 1994, signing as a free agent with the Denver Broncos. He appeared in 107 games while with the Broncos, recording 197 tackles, 19 sacks, and eight forced fumbles. Hasselbach played for the Broncos, who won the Super Bowl XXXIII championship.
