With the conclusion of week 17 of the National Football League, there is only a week of games remaining before we move on to the NFL playoffs. Both the divisions, NFC and the AFC, will send the winners from each of North, South, East, and West, along with three other teams on wild cards.

The Philadelphia Eagles are currently toppers of the NFC North division. However, after their 20-10 week 17 loss to New Orleans on Sunday, the Vikings have a great chance of taking a lead in the NFC with a win against the Packers today.

Even though the Eagles lost the week 17 match-up, they can still make it to the playoffs as the winners of North with a win against the New York Giants in week 18- their final game in the division.

However, for that to happen, the Vikings have to lose either the week 17 match against the Packers or the week 18 one against the Chicago Bulls.

The week 17 clash with the Packers, however, will be far from easy for the Vikings as the former still has a shot at the playoffs. The Packers are below the Detroit Lions in the NFC North division, but with a win against the Vikings today, they could overtake them.

If they can again win in week 18-  against the Lions, they have a good chance of making it to the playoffs. However, with the Lions winning on week 17 against the Bears, the Packers will need a bit of luck and secure a win against the Vikings to keep the playoffs hope alive.

Clearly, not everything is yet lost for the Green Bay Packers and the final two games in the division are going to be must win for them if they have to land a playoff berth.
