Joshua Dobbs, NFL quarterback with Tennessee Titans majored in aerospace engineering from the University of Tennessee with a perfect 4.0 grade point average and was named in the Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll.

Dobbs started for the Titans in their Week 17 NFL game against the Dallas Cowboys at the Nissan Stadium. His parents, Stephanie and Robert Dobbs attended the match.

Dobbs participated in five games with four starts as a true freshman in 2013 at the University of Tennessee after starter Justin Worley was hurt in a 45-10 defeat to Alabama Crimson Tide at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Dobbs completed 5-of-12 passes for 75 yards when he entered the contest on the road against  Alabama.

He was a starter for them in 2014, 2015, and 2016 as well. Dobbs was inducted into the Omicron Delta Kappa society- one of the most prestigious honor societies in the US also known as The Circle, in 2016.

Dobbs was selected as the South’s starting quarterback and received an invitation to the Senior Bowl. As the South defeated the North 16-15, he completed 12-of-15 of his pass attempts for 102 passing yards and an interception.

Dobbs signed a four-year, $2.95 million contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers on May 22, 2017, with a signing bonus of $554,295 included. Dobbs was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars for a fifth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft two years later, on September 9, 2019.

Dobbs was taken off waivers by the Pittsburgh Steelers on September 6, 2020, although the contract was only valid for a year. Dobbs agreed to a $1 million, one-year contract with the Cleveland Browns on April 9, 2022.

Then he had a stint with the practice squad of Detroit Lions, after which the Titas signed him in December 2022.
