JJ Watt, legendary defensive end, will play his final game Sunday when the Arizona Cardinals take on the San Francisco 49ers at the Levi’s Stadium. 

The Watt brothers, Pittsburgh Steelers fullback Derek and linebacker T.J., shared a social media post wearing JJ’s No 99 jersey.

“Man oh man, I wasn’t ready for this this morning. Genuinely could not ask for two better brothers. This means the world to me,” JJ said on Twitter. 

Other players and teams also honored the defensive end in a video message.

“Yesterday, the Cardinals came in for their team meeting before their game against the 49ers, and Kliff Kingsbury basically said everybody get together, shut down the lights and played a ten minute video for J.J. Watt. And in that video, Peyton Manning had a message, Tom Brady had a message, Aaron Rodgers had a message and T.J. Watt, his brother, had a very emotional message. It blew everyone away.”

Kealia Mae Ohai, JJ Watt’s wife, is an American soccer player. She has represented the Chicago Red Stars of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). She also played for the USWNT at the under-17, under-20, under-23 and senior level. 

Kealia was named after Kealia Beach on the island of Kauai by her father. She graduated from Alta High School where she was a four-year varsity soccer player.

JJ Watt and Kealia have a son named Koa James Watt. 

Connie Watt, JJ’s mother, is a designer and mixed-media artist of Nuu-chah-nulth, Gitxsan, and Kwakwakawakw descent. She lives and works in West Vancouver and Port Alberni on Coast Salish land.

JJ Watt’s father John was a firefighter.
