UFC President Dana White, during the ceremonial weigh-ins for UFC 290 announced that Jon Jones will be defending his title against Stipe Miocic in a highly anticipated bout scheduled for UFC 295. The fight will take place in New York City on November 11.

This matchup is set to be a thrilling clash between two of the top fighters in the heavyweight division.

When and Where to Watch-

The high-voltage clash between the two titans to claim the heavyweight title will be held at UFC 295 on November 11 in New York City. The event “UFC 295” is scheduled to be held at Madison Square Garden, almost 30 years after the first-ever UFC event took place in 1993. The promotion plans to commemorate its 30-year history leading up to the event.

Recently, Jones made a comeback after not fighting for three years. The fighter won the vacant heavyweight title by defeating Ciryl Gane at UFC 285 in Las Vegas. After the fight, Jones said he wants to face Miocic in his first defense of the heavyweight belt. Miocic, who was at the event, is a highly accomplished heavyweight fighter in UFC history and holds the record for the most wins in title fights among heavyweights (6).

At UFC 260 in March 2021, Miocic fought for the second time against Francis Ngannou and dropped the heavyweight title. Jones, on the other hand, is a highly respected light heavyweight and all-around mixed martial artist. If Jones can defeat Miocic, it will further establish his reputation as one of the best fighters in the sport on a pound-for-pound basis.

According to ESPN, Jones is currently ranked as the third-best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. He is widely recognized for having one of the most impressive records and resumes in the history of mixed martial arts. Despite having only one loss in his career, which came as a result of a disqualification, Jones has never been truly defeated inside the octagon.
