Chase Edmonds, running back for the Miami Dolphins dropped a touchdown catch by quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in the first quarter vs the Cincinnati Bengals. The team had to settle for three points.

Cincinnati led the Dolphins 7-3 with three minutes to go in the first quarter. 

Tua and wide receiver Tyreek Hill combined to put Miami at half-court. Another 5-yard pass by the quarterback saw the team reach Cincinnati’s red zone. However, a good offensive series ended in disappointment.

Tua then found Chase Edmonds deep in the touchdown zone. The running back, however, dropped the ball. 

Edmonds was roasted on Twitter for the drop. 

“Man, Chase Edmonds gotta secure that one. Well-thrown ball from Tua. Dolphins settle for 3 on their opening drive,” a Twitter user said.

“Chase Edmonds ALMOST had the TD here and the Dolphins had to settle on a FG 😬,” another one added.

“Chase Edmonds has to catch that ball, that’s an easy 6 points,” a third one tweeted. 

Meanwhile, Cincinnati Bengals’ Joe Mixon scored his first touchdown of the 2022 NFL season to give his side six points. At the fifth minute mark of the first quarter, the Bengals’ drive reached 3rd down and inches.

Joe Burrow, their quarterback, passed the ball to Mixon. The running back, with some push from his offensive line, reached the end zone.
