Fresh off a close 20-17 victory against the Washington Commanders on Sunday, Minnesota Vikings’ quarterback Kirk Cousins appeared on ESPN’s Manningcast. This week New Orleans Saints hosted the Lamar Jackson-led Baltimore Ravens in Week 9’s Monday Night Football game.

The game is played at the Mercedez Benz Superdome.

Cousins was part of the program during the third quarter. Peyton Manning talked to him about his Griddy against the Commanders, which received mixed reviews on the internet. But the former Denver Broncos’ QB Manning let him know that the internet said that Miami Dolphins’ tight end Mike Gesicki’s Griddy was worse than him.

As the video of both players doing the celebration was shown on the split window, Cousins said, ” I definitely set the Griddy back a few years.

” I think for a lot of reasons mine’s a little better than Mike’s,” added Cousins.

The Vikings quarterback also said that he will do another one when he records a rushing touchdown to show his improvement in the dance.

What is a Griddy?

The Griddy is a well-known dance move in which the performer swings their arms back and forth while alternately tapping their heels, either while standing still or while walking. They bring their hands to their eyes at the end. This appears to be forming the letters “ok” around their eyes.

After scoring touchdowns in the NFL since being selected in 2020, Justin Jefferson has come to be associated with the Griddy dance.
