Monday night football in week 2 of the 2022 NFL season concluded with the Buffalo Bills and the Philadelphia Eagles registering victories in their respective matches. The Buffalo Bills defeated the Tennessee Titans and the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Minnesota Vikings.

Josh Allen- Stefon Diggs connection in absence of Gabe Davis

The Buffalo Bills listed wide receiver Gabe Davis inactive against the Tennessee Titans and in his absence, Stefon Diggs put in an inspiring performance. Diggs looked comfortable with quarterback Josh Allen and registered 12 receptions for 148 yards with an average of 12.3 yards per reception. He also made 3 touchdowns.

In comparison, Davis, in his last game against the Rams, made 4 receptions for 88 yards, 1 touchdown and 3 first downs with Josh Allen playing as the quarterback.

Allen, on the other hand, registered 26 successful passes out of 38 for 317 yards and 4 touchdown passes.

Jalen Hurts impressive

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was the star of the show as the team defeated the Minnesota Vikings on Monday. The 24-year-old made a 53-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Quez Watkins against the Vikings to help his side take a 14-0 lead.

His 10 consecutive pass completions were also the most to begin a game in his NFL career. It also helped Hurts to have the second-most pass completion rate (.500) among quarterbacks who were drafted in 2020, after Tua Tagovailoa of the Miami Dolphins (.652).

He made 26 successful passes out of 31 for 333 yards, 1 touchdown pass, 1 interception, 11 carries for 57 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns. 

Darius Slay vs Kirk Cousins

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Darius Slay turned out to be the Achilles heel for Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins. The 31-year-old made 1 tackle, and 2 interceptions and defended 5 passes against Cousins, who did not have a great game at all.

Cousins made 27 successful passes out of 46 for 221 yards, 1 touchdown and 3 interceptions in the game.

The Eagles held Vikings superstars Justin Jefferson and Dalvin cook to average games

The Eagles defeated the Minnesota Vikings 24-7 and rendered Justin Jefferson and Dalvin Cook ineffective on Monday night. Jefferson made 6 carries out of 12 targets for 48 yards, 4 first downs and no touchdown. On the other hand, running back Cook made 6 carries in 17 yards, 4 receptions for 19 yards and no touchdown against the Eagles.
