Jeff Saturday‘s Indianapolis Colts took a 17-0 lead after the first quarter of their Week 15 game against the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday. The two teams locked horns at the US Bank Stadium.
“Jeff Saturday wasn’t gonna lose on a Saturday,” a Twitter user said.
“Everyone knew colts winning… soon as you hear Jeff Saturday and the game is on a Saturday… here comes the upset.. the NFL is so corny,” another one added.
“The power of Jeff Saturday on Saturday,” a third one added.
“This is Jeff’s day.. It’s Saturday,” wrote a fourth user.
“Losing 17-0 in the first quarter at home to the Colts at home I’m sorry but you just can’t be a contender, ” said a fifth in an obvious reference to the Vikings making it to playoffs but not having a big chance given their bad performance against a less celebrated team.

Despite having not even been close to their best in the entire season, the Colts lived up to their reputation as ‘Vikings’ beaters’ as they moved on to a huge lead after the first quarter. Veteran quarterback Matt Ryan found back his form by scoring a touchdown that established the lead for the away team.

The performance by the visitors comes as a big surprise to many given the Vikings’ domination this year and specifically at the US Bank stadium where they are 6-1 in their last seven games.

However, one needs to remember that the Colts have won all six of their previous encounters with the Vikings and were expected to make something out of the psychological edge.
For Jeff Saturday’s men, a win at US Bank stadium will mean a lot as it will marginally increase their otherwise slim chance of making it to the playoffs. They will need to follow it up with victories in their next three encounters with Los Angeles Chargers, New York Giants and Houston Texans respectively.
