Tony Romo of the CBS Sports booth pointed out that the Kansas QB was frustrated and was arguing with offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy.

“Look it, he’s upset right here. Mahomes is like, ‘I don’t want to run the ball and finish the half.’ ‘Well, stop. They’re playing good. It’s tough. They got a good D-line. I know, but just trust us!'” Romo said.

“If that aggressiveness was in any way impacted by Mahomes’ frustration before the half, it was all worth it,” a Twitter user said.

“Patrick Mahomes is (obviously) right. The Chiefs get conservative at weird moments all the time, and Mahomes’ go-for-it tendencies are important. This also doesn’t need to be your lead story of the day,” a second one added.

“Mahomes should be pissed there. You complete a pass to someone on the sideline there & have a crack at a Hail Mary before half…offense is too good to just take it into half there. They were close to midfield,” another one added.

The Kansas City Chiefs led the Indianapolis Colts 17-13 in the third quarter. Mahomes completed 220 consecutive passes without an interception, setting a new career-best streak and moving into the fourth-longest streak in franchise history

He passed his own personal best mark of 219 consecutive passes.
