Russian MMA fighter Rinat Fakhretdinov had a standout performance in spoiling American MMA fighter Kevin Lee’s return to the UFC. The fight took place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas as the main prelim for UFC on ESPN 47.

Fakhretdinov demonstrated impressive talents in the opening round by rocking and dropping Lee before establishing a choke that knocked him out. With his outstanding performance against a seasoned competitor like Lee, Fakhretdinov made a powerful statement.

After almost two years away from the organization, Kevin Lee, who has a professional record of 19 wins and 8 losses in mixed martial arts (11 wins and 8 losses in the UFC), suffered a loss. In their battle at UFC, Lee was downed and eventually submitted by Rinat Fakhretdinov, who has a record of 22 wins and 2 defeats in MMA (3 wins and 0 losses in the UFC).

With this victory, the Russian fighter marks his 20th win in a row, and he just manhandled Lee on his return to the cage. Fakhretdinov finished Lee in mere 55 seconds which gathered a lot of reactions on Twitter.

Several MMA fans reacted to the fight. One user wrote, “Another let down by Kevin Lee, should never fight in the UFC again sadly, had lots of potential, but never made changes & improved just like the jab there, hit 3 times didn’t slip head terrible stoppage, he was out 5 seconds into that choke.
