49ers lead 14-6 at half-time. This is Samuel’s second rushing touchdown of the current season, scoring one against the Chicago Bears in Week-1. He is yet to score a receiving TD, despite having 21 receptions for 131 yards in three games.

The wide receiver has been playing well this season, despite having to deal with changing quarterbacks within the team. Trey Lance, who is currently injured after suffering a season-ending ankle injury against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2, was the team’s starting QB this season. But his injury made way for backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo to lead the team. This is Garropolo’s second game as a starter this year. He has taken the team to two NFC Championship games and a Super Bowl appearance versus the Kansas City Chiefs in 2020.
