Amon-Ra St. Brown is an American football wide receiver and currently plies his trade in the NFL with the Detroit Lions. He signed with the Dolphins in the 2021 NFL Draft; he was a 4th-round pick and the 112th overall selection in the draft.

Who is Amon-Ra St. Brown?

Amon-Ra St. Brown was born on October 24, 1998, in Anaheim Hills, California. He did his schooling at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California. He was a five-star recruit coming out of high school and chose the University of Southern California as the place to continue his development as a football player, playing his collegiate football for the Trojans from 2018–2020. 

St. Brown made a memorable start to his college career making seven receptions for 98 yards and a touchdown in his first-ever college game with the Trojans. He finished his freshman season with 60 catches, 750 yards, and three touchdowns.

His sophomore year saw him improve his numbers further as he made 77 receptions for 1,042 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns, adding 7 rushes for 60 yards and another touchdown. His junior year was cut short but he still finished with 41 receptions for 478 receiving yards and seven touchdowns from the six games he played.

He decided to forgo his senior year at USC and made himself available for the 2021 NFL Draft. The Detroit Lions handed St. Brown his rookie contract on June 17, 2021, after he was signed in the 4th round of the draft as the 112th overall pick.

St. Brown played 17 games in his rookie season in the NFL, starting 9 of them. He won the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month award for December 2021 after recording 35 receptions, 340 receiving yards, and 3 receiving touchdowns throughout December. He finished his rookie season having made 90 receptions for 912 receiving yards and 5 receiving touchdowns to go along with 61 rushing yards and 1 rushing touchdown.
