debut in the second half of the Pittsburgh Steelers versus New York Jets match.

Kenny Pickett’s
full name is Kenny Shaun Pickett. Born on June 6, 1998 in the Oakhurst section
of Ocean Township in New Jersey, Pickett is a quarterback. Kenny did the
greater part of his schooling at the Ocean Township High School. There he led
the Ocean Township Spartans to the New Jersey Central Group III semi-final game
as a junior leading his team to a 9-2 second.

Pickett’s
junior career included 4,670 yards of passes with 43 touchdowns. He was
originally committed to play for Temple University but later changed his commitment
to the University of Pittsburgh.

At
Pittsburgh, Kenny Pickett spent his freshman season as a backup to Max Brown
and Bel DiNucci. His first career game was Pittsburgh’s season final against
the Miami Hurricanes. His team won with Pickett completed 18 of the 29 passes
for 193 yards with a touch down. Pickett also rushed for 60 yards and two
touchdowns. Through the season, Pickett completed 39 out of 66 passes for 509
yards, one touchdown and one interception.

In the 2018
season, Pickett featured in every single of the 14 games his team played. He
was a starter in the 2019 season and played all the games barring one which he
had to miss because of an injury. This was Pickett’s first season with Mark
Whipple, the famous American football coach who now serves as the offensive
coordinator at the University of Nebraska, as an offensive coordinator.

Kenny Pickett’s
professional football career began in 2022. He was picked by the Pittsburgh
Steelers for the 2022 NFL Draft. This was the first time a quarterback was
picked on the draft since 1997. Kenny Pickett was named quarterback for the
Steelers behind starter Mitchell Trubisky.
