Randal Kolo Muani scored in 79th minute of France’s semifinal against Morocco to give the defending champions a 2-0 lead and put it on the track to secure a spot in final.

He found the net  the net within 44 seconds of being subbed on in place of Ousmane Dembele, who had a quiet game. This was the third fastest goal by a substitute in the World Cup history. Mbappe dribbled through Morocco’s defense with two players on the edge of the penalty box and put up a shot. His shot hit Ezzalzouli, who has also just come on, and ricocheted across the area to give Kolo Muani an open goal.

Who is Randal Kolo Muani?

Randal Kolo Muani is a French professional football player. He plays as a forward for the Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt and the France national squad. He was born on December 5, 1998, in Bondy, France.

Kolo Muani began his career at Villepinte in the Paris suburbs and then played for Tremblay-en-France and Torcy from the U11-U16 level. He signed his first professional contract with Nantes on June 4, 2015. In November 2015, he joined the youth ranks of Nantes.

The 24-year-old made his professional debut on November 30, 2018, in a 3-1 league loss to Saint Etienne. He joined Boulogne on a season-long loan deal in August 2019.

Eintracht Frankfurt signed Kolo Muani on March 4, 2022, on a pre-contract agreement ahead of the expiration of his Nantes contract. The club signed a five-year deal with Muani. On October 26, 2022, he scored his first Champions League goal in a 2-1 victory over Marseille. He scored the winning goal in a 2-1 win over Sporting CP on November 1, to qualify his club to the knockout stage for the first time in the Champions League era.

Muani was a youth international for France. Earlier, he played matches for his country’s under-21 national team. He received his first call-up to the France national team on September 15, 2022, for two UEFA Nations League matches. On November 16, he replaced Christopher Nkunku in France’s World Cup team after the latter had to withdraw due to injury.
