According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, Taylor Rogers agreed to a three-year, $33 million contract with the Giants on Friday.

Tyler Rogers, Taylor Roger’s twin, who has been pitching for the Giants since 2019, will be reunited with his brother as a result of the agreement. The Rogers brothers could be the second set of twins to play for the same MLB team in the same game, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

Who is Taylor Rogers?

Taylor Allen Rogers was born on December 17, 1990. He is an American professional baseball pitcher. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) games with the Milwaukee Brewers, San Diego Padres, and Minnesota Twins. In 2021, he was named an All-Star.

In Littleton, Colorado, Rogers attended Chatfield Senior High School. He was chosen by the Baltimore Orioles in the 37th round of the 2009 MLB Draft. Instead of signing with the Orioles, he chose to play collegiate baseball for the Kentucky Wildcats at the University of Kentucky.

Rogers was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the eleventh round of the 2012 MLB Draft following his junior year at Kentucky. Rogers signed with the Twins for his professional debut. He also played for the Beloit Snappers.

Rogers began the 2013 season playing for the Cedar Rapids Kernels before being promoted to the Fort Myers Miracle midway the season. He pitched for the New Britain Rock Cats in 2014. He was a player of the Rochester Red Wings in 2015. After the 2015 season, the Twins added Rogers to their 40-man roster. In 2016, he started with Rochester.

On April 13, 2016, Rogers was called up to the major leagues. He was recalled to Minnesota on May 17 after being optioned to Rochester on April 19. Rogers played for the Twins for the whole 2017 season.
