Vaidya Bandhan Singh Kharwar is an Ayurvedic doctor who is treating Mahinder Singh Dhoni, the former captain of the Indian cricket team’s knee injury for just Rs 40.

Kharwar lives in a forest area of Lapung, about 70 kilometres from Jharkhand‘s capital Ranchi.

In a remote village in Ranchi, he attends to his patients under a tree in a tarpaulin tent.

Kharwar, who treats ailments with wild herbs, charged Dhoni Rs 40 for a single dose of medicine, as he does all of his patients.

Kharwar has previously treated Dhoni’s parents.

He only found out about his famous patient when the kids in the neighbourhood gathered around him for photos.

Talking about Dhoni, Kherwar said – “Dhoni comes like a normal patient without any pomp. He has no pride in being a celebrity. However, now every four days, the news of Dhoni’s arrival gathers his fans here. So now he sits in his car while his medicine is administered to him,” Khervar revealed to IANS.

Dhoni’s parents are said to have been seeing the practitioner for two to three months, and after they got some relief, Dhoni went as well. Dhoni informed the practitioner of his knee pain, and he was given one dose of the medication.

Vandan Singh, a well-known practitioner in his area, prepares a mixture of herbs in milk and instructs his patients to drink it.

Dhoni, according to Dainik Bhaskar, visits the remote village every four days to take his medications.
